Why have a Walk for Life? Your Steps Will Save Lives! The monies raised at the Walk for Life will impact hundreds of women, men, and children in the Citrus County area each year by allowing Life Choice Care Center to offer them FREE services.

Get $100 in pledges to get a FREE T-shirt! That is only 5 sponsors pledging $20 each. $300 in pledges gets your name in a drawing for an iPod! Don't miss this opportunity!

Youth Groups: We have a challenge for you.
The youth group that raises the most money ($1,000 minimum) will have their choice of either a fuseball table or a ping pong table for their youth room/area.

How far is the Walk? It's Easy! The Walk is a short 2-mile, easy paced stroll. No athletic ability required.

Can't walk that day? No Problem! You can walk any day, anytime, anyplace - it still counts! Just mail your completed pledge form(s). Every Walker Counts.

Where do I Walk? Wallace Brooks Park, 399 East Dampier Street, Inverness, Florida.

Rainy day? Inclement weather? We will still be walking. Bring an umbrella!

Every Step Counts... A Walk for All Ages! A 94-year old woman walks to and from her mailbox everyday. A 4 year old raised $1,000 by asking her friends and neighbors.

How do I get sponsors? Simply ask everyone you know... family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, at your gym and church, etc. "Will you sponsor me as I Walk for Life?" 9 out of 10 will say "Yes!". Pledges are "flat" amounts, (not a per mile pledge) and tax deductible. Here is a Sample Sponsor letter (Word document format) to help you get started.

Do I have to collect the money? No, you do NOT collect any money, Life Choice Care Center collects for you. Turn in your pledge form on Walk day Or mail them to us, and we will send your sponsors a pledge reminder. Please PRINT the complete address and zip code for each sponsor. If you want to collect your pledges, please bring funds with you on Walk Day.
